Q&A WITH A DOMINO’S STORE MANAGER – BRIDGET!
Having a chat with Bridget, our Hedge End Store Manager!
How long have you been with Solent Pizza?
I’ve been here for just over a year and a half now.
What is your favourite pizza?
I love the Vegi Volcano, lots of flavours!
What was your first job role within Team Solent?
I started here as an MIT (Manager In Training) and worked my way up to being a Store Manager.
What do you look for in a Domino’s Team Member?
They have to be hardworking, have a willingness to learn and be good at communicating. The store can get very busy, so people need to be able to communicate with each other to deliver the best service possible to our customers.
How fast can you make one large cheese and tomato pizza?
I haven’t timed myself in a while, but I think I can make one in just under 40 seconds.
When you’ve finished your shift, what do you like to do to unwind?
I have a niece and a nephew who I like to spend time with when I’m not at work, so going to the park and taking them out is how I spend my ‘down time’.
What advice would you give to new starters for them to do well within Team Solent?
If you want to succeed in this business, you need to put in the effort. There’s so much progression within Team Solent, so if you want to do well you need to put in hard work!
What 3 words would you use to describe Team Solent?
It’s hard to pick just 3, but I’d say Team Solent is loyal, friendly and obviously it’s fun too!
You’ve been with us for just over a year and a half now, which store has been your favourite to work in and why?
It’s so hard to pick a favourite, obviously I love Hedge End because it’s the first store I’ve been the Store Manager in. But I also loved working in Waterlooville because of the volume and of course because of the great team there!
What keeps you going during the rush (busy period)?
Probably the sense of accomplishment! Nothing beats the feeling you get once the rush is calming down and you know that you smashed it and succeeded!
Don't you just love that feeling too, like you've achieved something great? Here at Domino's you can have that feeling every single day, all you have to do is come join us!
